Course Description
Overview:
Students enrolling in this course will learn the basics for creating
and revising disk-based websites with some discussion of creating public
websites. We will plan the site, create pages and text, insert images, and
link items within the site and to external websites.
Benefits:
After taking this course, students will be able to create and manage
simple, effective websites.
Target student:
The target student for this course is someone who is comfortable with
the Windows environment and Microsoft Word or other word-processing
software. It is helpful to have some background with Microsoft PowerPoint
but you can do well in this course without it.
Performance-Based Objectives
Lesson objectives help students become comfortable with the course, and
also provide a means to evaluate learning. Upon successful completion of
this course, students will be able to:
Plan a website and use the Navigation view to create pages.
Edit and format a web page using a variety of techniques.
Insert pictures and tables
Insert bookmarks and hyperlinks to navigate the web and to reach out to
other websites.
