Course Description

Overview: 

Students enrolling in this course will learn the basics for creating and revising presentation using PowerPoint 2002. Topics covered include creating a presentation, editing text, formatting text, images and shapes, and SlideShow and printing options.

Benefits: 

After taking this course, students will be able to create, edit, format, and print basic presentations using PowerPoint.

Target student: 

The target student for this course is someone who is comfortable with the Windows environment, and who needs to learn the basics of PowerPoint for getting his or her work done.

Performance-Based Objectives

Lesson objectives help students become comfortable with the course, and also provide a means to evaluate learning. Upon successful completion of this course, students will be able to:

Create a basic presentation with and without design templates.
Work with text and images on slides – creating, moving and copying items.
Use the Outline window to create and modify slides.
Change the appearance of text, images and shapes by using a variety of formatting techniques.
Use a variety of techniques to manipulate multiple slides in a presentation.
Apply animation to objects and set up a slide show.
