Course Description
Publisher
QuickLaunch is a 4-hour introductory course for people who need to get to work
with Publisher with a short commitment of time. It includes all the basic
elements of Publisher, including text frames, images, formatting and page setup.
Students
will find the class easier if they have a good working knowledge of Word and are
familiar with PowerPoint, but there are no requirements before you take this
class.
Class Objectives
At
the end of the course, students will be able to:
Describe
the programs available for working with text and images and when each
program is ideal.
Create
Publisher documents with the catalog or from a blank document.
Lay
out document guides, pages, and master pages or background.
Create
text and image holders.
Insert
text by typing or importing files.
Flow
text from one frame to another with linking text.
Format
text and paragraphs.
Insert
images.
Adjust
images and text in an article for best use of space and visual appeal.
