Service Technician

Job description: Remove, install, test, and support computer systems and peripherals.  Install operating systems, software, and special configurations. Provide computer diagnostic and repair services. Perform data migration from old systems to new systems. Positions open for full-time and part-time employment for 7 months.

Job hours: 8 hours per day and 5 days per week for full-time technicians, and hours/days variable for part-time employees.

Start date: special project from April to November, 2007.

Education and Certification:

require high school diploma

prefer post high school education, such as college, technical/trade school, computer courses

bullet

prefer A+ certification or work equivalent

Job requirements:

bulletexperience preparing new computer systems and peripherals
bulletexperience using and supporting Microsoft Windows 2000 and newer operating system
bulletexperience installing desktop operating systems and applications
bulletexperience diagnosing and repairing computers and peripherals
bulletcustomer service personality
bulletgood communication skills
bulletprofessional, neat appearance
bulletdependability
bulletminimum 3 yrs work experience
bulletminimum 2 yrs work experience in computer industry
bulletsome lifting required
bulletsome local driving expected, so a valid MT drivers license required

Compensation:

$10.00/hr minimum, DOE
