iPhone ransomware hits U.S.

Have you backed up your phone lately? If you haven’t, this would be a good time to do just that. It has officially happened, our Apple devices have been breached. There has not been any explanation as to how or why it happened, all we know is that these hackers have acquired names and passwords to them and are exploiting the Find my iPhone by locking your device and asking you for money to unlock it.

What should you do? first thing is back up your phone. You can do this two ways:

1. Connecting it to your computer through iTunes

2. Backing it up to the cloud on your phone

Below is a step by step link through Apple that will help guide you through the steps

The next thing you should do is change your Apple ID password (another link to help you with the steps)

Should you have to bring it to a retailer to unlock it, all will be lost if it’s not backed up.
